We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to serve in a Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) capacity. This role involves directly advising the government on the execution of their programs. This is a full-time, mid-career position located in Huntsville, Alabama. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert programmatic guidance and oversight to ensure government projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. A strong background in program management and experience in an advisory role are essential. While deep technical expertise in DoW weapon systems is not required, familiarity with defense-related projects is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise government program leadership on the planning and implementation of complex projects.
  • Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables from an advisory standpoint.
  • Provide expert analysis and recommendations on project budgets and resource allocation.
  • Review and provide feedback on detailed project schedules and work plans.
  • Help identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Provide regular, objective project updates and reports to government stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across cross-functional government and contractor teams.
  • Ensure program execution aligns with all relevant government and industry standards.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Proven experience in a program management role at a mid-career level.
  • Experience working on government or defense-related projects, preferably in a SETA or similar advisory capacity.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work full-time in Huntsville, AL.

Preferred:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Familiarity with aerospace or defense industry acquisition processes and standards.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
