Lead Technical Advisor

Rami Akouri is a Materials and Mechanical Engineer with over 12 years of experience supporting advanced aerospace and defense programs, specializing in materials development, manufacturing scale-up, and strengthening the industrial base for high-speed and other critical technology systems. He holds an M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Boston University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Rami’s technical background spans materials and components designed for extreme environments including electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) and radio frequency (RF) materials, complex windows and radomes, advanced ceramics, nanomaterials, environmental and protective coatings, microelectronics fabrication, composite materials, and additive manufacturing.

Throughout his career, Rami has worked hands-on to develop novel material systems and manufacturing techniques and, as these technologies matured, led the transition of in-house processes to external, production-relevant suppliers to enable successful program execution. He has also served as a principal investigator and technical lead on multiple research and development efforts, as well as a materials subject matter expert supporting production programs.

Since joining MACH-20 in July 2023, Rami has served as the company’s manufacturing and industrial base assessment lead, working directly with Air Force, Navy, Army, and other DoW stakeholders and industry partners to execute Manufacturing Readiness Assessments, risk reduction activities, and production evaluations. He is recognized for strong collaboration skills, creative problem solving, and thorough technical execution.
