Erin Fowler, M.S.

Technical Advisor

Erin Fowler is an aerospace engineer with 14 years of professional experience in research and development and program management in the national security space field, including various roles in bringing multiple experimental satellites to flight. Erin started her career at DARPA as a contractor in the Tactical Technology Office supporting the development of spacecraft servicing, assembly, and manufacturing technologies as well as new US capabilities for rapid deployment to orbit of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance assets. She then transitioned to the US Naval Research Laboratory, where she worked at the Naval Center for Space Technology building simulations for the development and validation of unique space navigation and control applications including space robotics, spacecraft formation flying, and cislunar missions. As a researcher in the Space Exploration Sector of the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, Erin developed and led projects involving satellite relative motion and rendezvous and proximity operations, as well as space domain awareness and trajectory estimation, particularly in the cislunar regime. Erin is a PhD candidate in the aerospace engineering program at the University of Maryland College Park. She received her MS in computer science at George Mason University and her MS in aerospace engineering and BS in astronautical engineering at the University of Southern California.
