Daniel Eby is a thermal-mechanical engineer and program leader with over 12 years of experience in space and missile applications across DoD and NASA. He directed the wind tunnel test for NASA’s Dragonfly mission managing a 50-person, multi-organization team of mechanical designers, structural analysts, electrical engineers, and aerodynamicists within multidisciplinary Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) while overseeing the multi-million-dollar budget and schedule. Additionally, Daniel led critical elements of the successful design, fabrication, testing, assembly, and launch of Parker Solar Probe Thermal Protection System a part of the 1.5-billion-dollar Parker Solar Probe program. Daniel also has extensive modeling background including aerothermal-structural modeling of hypersonic vehicles for system design and material selection. At MACH-20, Daniel serves as program management support and hypersonics SME for ONR. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Virginia and a masters in thermofluids from Johns Hopkins University.
