Alexis Thoeny brings over 5 years of DoW academic research expertise in detonative propulsion, nanomaterial synthesis, and counter-small UAS programs while mentoring lab staff and advising M.S. and P.h.D. military-officer students at the Naval Postgraduate School. He also has expertise in optical laser diagnostics, automated CFD design, knowledge management, and transitioning early research programs while having filed, or obtained, 6 patents, three of which fall under the USPTO Secrecy Order process. Alexis has obtained his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from San Jose State University, M.S.E.S. from the Naval Postgraduate School in Astronautical Engineering, and Degree of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
